24th of July

I know I’m really late in posting this stuff, but when my family only gets together 2 times a year I didn’t have time to blog about the stuff as it was happening.  (We like to fit a months worth of activities into 1 week!)  On the 24th of July Scott’s band played for Provo City.  My family all came and listened to the first set.

Then we went to my Grandma Banks’ for our family lunch.  They got out the slip and slide for the little kids.

Scott met us there and then we went to my mom and dad’s.  Now we couldn’t let the kids have all of the fun so for the 2nd year we got out the “adult” slip and slide.  (It’s about 50 feet long.)  We all took some turns going down it.  Some sliding on their own; some being pulled down so that they weren’t sliding on the babies.

4th of July

For the 4th of July this year Scott and his band had a gig in Blanding, Utah.  The people there were some of the friendliest people I have ever been around.  It was so much fun!  Ben got a microphone stand and sang most of the songs right along with Scott.    Then on the 5th they played in Torrey, Utah.  It was fun to see Scott play, but we were excited to get home.

Crossroads in the news again

In addition to the article in the Deseret News, we were featured in an article in the Daily Herald too.

The Band

So Scott had a band gig for Lehi City on Wednesday night.  It was a lot of fun!!  A reporter from the Deseret News was there and wrote a very nice article.

(When you’re done reading it just know that Scott had the boys because I had a class that he knew about before he said that he would do the gig.  I got there in plenty of time to watch the boys for the concert.)
